On August 14th, 2024, T&T Aabpara Housing Society came alive with patriotic fervor as residents gathered near Main Park to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day. The event was marked by the flag hoisting ceremony led by the Society President, Rana Muhammad Akmal, accompanied by executive members and esteemed guests, including former President Chaudhary Khushi Muhammad and General Secretary Syed Farmood Shah.
A highlight of the celebration was the performance by Minhas Taekwondo Club, whose martial arts and self-defense demonstration captivated the audience. The energy peaked as children, with faces painted in national colors, participated in a lively competition of national slogans, adding an enthusiastic touch to the day.
Girls sang patriotic songs, earning cash prizes from the President for their performances. The younger children, dressed in army uniforms, cultural attire, and fancy dresses, brought color and joy to the event. Despite the hot and humid weather, the management ensured comfort with seating, fans, security tents, and banners filled with good wishes. Guests were served chilled fruit juices and water to stay refreshed.
The ceremony also featured a meaningful plantation drive, where the President, along with society members and children, planted fruit and shade trees. Some children dedicated trees to the memory of their late parents, promoting the vision of "Green Aabpara, Green Pakistan."
Throughout the event, a professional DJ kept spirits high with patriotic songs, and a photographer captured the memorable moments of the day. The celebration was a true reflection of community spirit, patriotism, and a commitment to a greener future.
Well done Rana AKMAL SAB jeo Hazarou sal.
